Dear Senators and Representatives,
Retirement security is increasingly difficult for Americans to achieve, even
after a lifetime of work. Sluggish wage growth, diminishing or threatened
pensions and their guarantees, insufficient 401ks, and rising costs of living
fuel the crisis.
For these reasons, Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and pension guarantees
remain as critical today as when they began. Privatizing, raising eligibility
ages, benefit reductions, increased out-of-pocket fees, and pension defaults are
cuts we cannot afford. These programs are vital to seniors and provide a key
safety net for many others. Please oppose cuts to our earned benefits. Instead,
let’s protect, strengthen, and expand these critical programs.
Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,
|
